One of my most enjoyable volunteer assignments has been serving as a bell ringer during the holidays for the Salvation Army.   The Salvation Army has assignments and posts throughout our state and nation.   They have countless 4-hour shifts to choose from, and who doesn't like greeting shoppers during such a festive time of year?

The Salvation Army does so much incredible work in so many areas of need - from assistance with addiction recovery, working towards ending human trafficking and modern-day slavery, to disaster assistance, and of course, mission work.
